Single Effect Absorption Chiller-Cooling Cycle
 |
Features and Advantages
Unlike compressive air-conditioner using energy source such as electric power, the
absorptive air-conditioning system uses the energy source directly as thermal energy.
Thermal energy is consumed for separating refrigerants from absorbents (LiBr-H2O)
The system does not demand quality energy such as electric power.
The system emits low noise and little vibration.
The system uses solar heat without incurring additional costs.
The sun provides a limitless source of energy free.
The absorptive air-conditioner is more cost-effective than the compressive counterpart.
The system does not employ energy from fossil fuels, and realizes a reduction in
environmental pollution from carbon dioxide.
Principle of Solar Absorption Cooling System
When heated at a temperature of 100กษ under the atmospheric pressure, water
is boiledand evaporated. The evaporation temperature gets lower than 100กษ
under pressures lower than the atmospheric pressure (vacuum state).
Boiling and evaporating water at approx. 5กษ in the evaporator kept in a
vacuum state at 6 ~ 7 mmHg generates cooling effects.
